Cole turns 4, Soccer and House Progress

So Monday April 13, 2015 Cole turned 4!!! Crazy! How in the world did that happen? He was pretty pumped. We had a a little birthday dinner with donuts, balloons, chick-fil-a and a present. He was SO  excited about his Bat-bot and his Paw Patrol blanket. This kid is obsessed with "soft things" which is what he calls soft blankets and stuffed animals.

Cole is REALLY enjoying soccer. Who knows, we may just have us a little soccer player. I am so glad we decided to go ahead and sign him up. He is on the sweetest little team. Most of the kids are from church and the coaches are from church, one being a guy I grew up with, so it is great being apart of it. He has been really aggressive and thoroughly loving it!

Saturday, April 18th we had a little family birthday party out at the house to show the family the progress of the house and have a bonfire party for Cole. Of course after we got everything set up it rained. Good thing the garage was there. We just moved everything inside to the garage. We still had a fun night.
Sign Cole made to tell everyone to bring "soft things"

The family at Coles bonfire party

Casey had talked Cole into wanting a bonfire, I didn't think 4 year olds and fire was such a good idea :-/ so since it took a little while to convince them not to have a bonfire party with friends, nothing was available on either weekend of his birthday. So now we will just have to have it later, but this kid definitely has not missed out. We have just extended the celebrating. :)

Making great Progress!

Well, it took a long time for this to happen and with all the bad weather we had I never dreamed it would come along so fast. Hope it continues!

Fun things happening....

So it took a while, but we have FINALLY gotten the approval for our septic permit, apparently you have to have that before anything can really start happening. So that means that the footer guys can now get started. Fingers crossed we will be smooth sailing! Now we just need this weather to cooperate!! This week we have been in an ICE storm! We are on day 3 of being in the house. We are not suppose to get above freezing until Saturday. Guess we will see...
Silly on this snowy/icy day.

My cute surprise from the window! :)
Craig and Sarah got engaged!!! Yay! They will be getting married June 20, 2015, so lots of things going on with building a house, wedding things, finishing the second half of the school year and moving in our new HOUSE! Craig asked me to hide in the closest and try and get some pics from the proposal. It was fun! He proposed at the Frist and everything went beautifully. She said YES!

"I had the fun pleasure of being the photographer, hidden in the closest, while my brother, Craig Parnell, PROPOSED, to the amazing Sarah Martin tonight! and she said YES!! Looks like I am getting another fabulous sister-in-law. smile emoticonCongrats!"

This is the first year Cole has been able to help me with his Valentines! Getting to be so big :)

New House!

Things are happening!! Of course everything takes a while and with the holidays it has taken a little longer to actually get started, but we are in the process! We have an ADDRESS!! :) We have our builders risk insurance, something about sewage lines have been done, pulling permits, staking out where the house will be and a gravel driveway!! It is getting to be very real! Hopefully I will have mini short post of the progress! :)

Christmas 2014

Well we had a wonderful Christmas! We got to see a lot of our family and we celebrated for about 4 days straight. Unfortunately we also go the flu, well Cole did! It was Wednesday before Christmas and it was such a busy and fun time. Casey was closing on two houses, I was suppose to start exams (new middle school fun), have a work Christmas party and Cole was suppose to have his PJ party that day and then breakfast with Santa and Mrs Claus and we missed it all :( although I do have to say he did not have a bad case of the flu so I guess that is the plus side. Casey was a little puny but never ran a fever, but by Christmas everyone was on the mend.
Christmas Eve morning was spent making cookies for Santa...
Then that afternoon we went to my parents house...

Karen and Brad brought marshmallow shooters...

Uncle Craig brought everything SUPERHEROS

KK hit the jackpot with a soft blanket!

Our little elf

Christmas Morning! He did come....or as Cole told us "See, I told you I was on the Nice list!" :) We had a lot of discussions about being on the naughty and nice list. Being 3 is hard! :) Lots of naughty behavior, but he can be so sweet and nice. A little jekyl and hyde. hahahaha...

I didn't take any pictures but we also went to my cousin Emily's house on Friday night to visit with the Hardaway side of the family. We have not seen them in years. It was good to get together.
Then as a last minute surprise the Herren crew came up Saturday and we spent all day over at Lincoln and Pams. It was a nice surprise. We even got to see Caroline! :)

We had a great break! Casey had a lot of time off as well. It was a great Christmas and New Years! I am ready for 2015! Bring it on....

SOLD!!!

Well, I am late in posting this, since it happened on Halloween!!! We had lots of sweet memories in this house. It was our first home, the home we brought Cole home too! It also had a lot of negativity in it as well. We will not go there. We are glad to have it sold and to be moving on to our next home to start new memories in. Casey is saying right now that we should be in by April, I will be happy with summer.
I think we finally have a plan. I thought we had one for years, then Casey kept looking at different ones and then of course the ones I loved were not in our price range. I think we have it now, which is very exciting! Of course with Casey as the builder there will be some changes, but this is basically it! :)

More Info and hopefully progress on the house coming soon!!!

In full swing....

So our house has STILL NOT SOLD, but crossing our fingers for soon. We have seen to have more interested people in the last week! I have been a 7th grade teacher for 6 weeks now and I am really enjoying it. I have a great group of kiddos. Who knew I would like middle school? not me! :)
Cole is getting so big, literally. Growing like a weed. Skinny little thing. Who knew our little chuck would be a skinny kid?
Seth is a junior this year and getting a good amount of playing time. So we have been enjoying some football games. It is really nice to be so close to family and be able to see and support them. Yesterday the Herren's were here for about 16 hrs. It was nice getting to see them even if it was short lived.
Cousins. No Cole, he was asleep.
Zane(10th), Emma(College Sophmore), Seth(11th), Maggie(9th) and Hannah(12th)
I can't believe we did not get a group picture on Saturday with everyone, but we are hoping to se them Thanksgiving. We are also going to see Emma play basketball Thanksgiving when they head this way to play Martin Methodist.
Mess! This is his favorite outfit these days.

Watching Seth one Friday night.

Sweetness...Told me he wasn't tired, then fell asleep talking to me
Talk Like a Pirate Day, Sept 19th. Krispy Kreme gives free donuts!
The second weekend in August the girls from college came into town to celebrate Mac getting married and Katie having a baby! It was so fun to get everyone together. Everyone came to Nashville. Such a fun time.
